Sea and Sky (Water-colour and gouache) Quarter Imperial size

A new work and one in which I strayed away from 'pure' watercolour. I used designer's white for the foam and gulls, so this picture could be described as mixed-media. It is painted on Arches (Rough) 130lbwaterclour paper. (Approx. 14" x 11" - 35 cm x 27.5 cm)

Hi Chrissy,

Thanks for your support. It's much appreciated. It will cost me an arm and a leg to frame this one, as my framer thinks it should have a 'triple-mount' and a wide section frame. I'll have to see.

Refrence the exhibition Chrissy, I left you a message on your paintings-blog. I will let you know when and where asap.

Regards
John

Hello John.
It's a nice painting and the waves are superb and very well observed. I like the suggestion of the patterns of foam in the water underneath the breaking crests.
